US media showed European Championship data: 1997 to 2017 10 competitions twice, 40+, and 5 times in the last two

September 14th, today, US media Clutchpoints took stock of data from a European Championship.

According to Clutchpoints, there were only two 40+ times in the 10 European Championships from 1997 to 2017. Nowitzki, 23, scored 43 points in the bronze medal match of the 2001 European Championship, and Paul Gasol, 35, scored 40 points in the semi-finals of the 2015 European Championship. In the last two European Championships (2022 and 2025), there have been 40+ 5 times. Doncic scored 47 points against France in 2022, 42 points against Italy this year, Antetokounmpo scored 41 points against Ukraine in 2022, Markanen scored 43 points against Croatia in 2022, and 43 points against Britain this year.

Note: After 2017, the European Championships have been changed from one session every two years to one session every four years.
