Curry: In the early days, my legs were as weak as noodles and I kept getting injured. At first, I thought it was a shoe problem.

Hupu News, November 04 Today, in James’ podcast Court Brain, Curry talked about his previous ankle injury:

After the second year of my career, I had my first surgery. I told my wife, there was a moment in the basement when we were rehabbing... you know, just rehabbing for that injury took like three and a half to four months.

It was so serious that it wasn’t even a sprain caused by stepping on someone else’s foot, but during a transition attack, when I pushed hard on the ground, my ankle would turn over. I looked back at the video and it was like... my legs were as weak as noodles. Literally, I couldn't stand upright at all.

At first we thought it was a problem with the shoes I was wearing? Still... I even wore those big ankle braces that looked like they were in Forrest Gump, which I still wear. Then you wonder, what is the problem? I felt strong, I felt coordinated, but I just couldn't finish a full season.

So, know your body, break it down from the ground up, core strength, hip strength, the whole kinetic chain - if you're showing weakness or weakness in the ankle, the root of it is probably upstream. To me, it was the most boring, monotonous job I've ever had in my life, every day. Small muscle groups, small muscle groups, proprioception type training, movement patterns.
