On November 6, the Nets played away against the Pacers in the NBA regular season. Thomas only played 5 minutes and 35 seconds before withdrawing due to a strained left hamstring. Porter Jr. scored 32+11 and contributed such statistics for the first time since joining, leading the Nets to counterattack in the final quarter. In the end, the Nets defeated the Pacers 112-103 to end their 7-game losing streak. After the Nets won their first victory of the new season, there has never been a completely defeated team this season. Last season's runner-up Pacers lost 7 of 8 games.

Game Review

The Nets lost all their first 7 games of the new season, becoming the only team in the league to lose all. The Pacers lost their last home game to the Bucks 115-117 and suffered a buzzer-beater from Antetokounmpo. The Nets are missing Powell and Highsmith in this game, and the Pacers are missing Haliburton, Marcelin, Nembhard and many other players. Porter made 3 of 3 three-pointers at the start of the first quarter and scored 11 points early, leading the Nets to lead 15-6 in the beginning. The Pacers used a 7-0 offensive to catch up with only 2 points. The Nets were later chased to a 20-18 lead. The Nets scored 5 points in a row. At the end of the first quarter, the Nets led the Pacers 25-18 by 7 points. Porter Jr. scored 11 points and 3 rebounds on 4-of-7 shooting, including 3-of-3 three-pointers. Nesmith was 1-of-6 and Siakam was sluggish with 2-of-7.

In the second quarter of the game, the Pacers gradually suppressed the Nets on both ends of the offense and defense. The Pacers took the lead with an 8-0 offensive to overtake by 1 point. The two sides then alternated the lead and struggled until the Nets fell behind 36-37. The Pacers continued to score to expand their 4-point advantage, and the Nets counterattacked again.
