Player options 36.35 million~Ship Record: All parties expect Harden to break out of the contract and renew his contract with the Clippers again

June 28th, 35-year-old Clippers star Harden currently has a player option of about $36.35 million, and he has to decide whether to jump out of the contract before June 30th.

According to Law Murray, a Clippers reporter who works for TheAthletic, several sources in the league revealed that Harden is not inclined to implement player options. If the player option is activated, it may very likely mean that there are major differences in the renewal negotiations between the Clippers and Harden, and Harden will begin to seek to join other teams.

The general expectation of all parties is that Harden will break out of the contract and then renew the contract with the Clippers. Due to the 38-year-old rule, if Harden does not implement the player option, he can sign up to a three-year contract.
