Wonderful words, Rockets coach talks about what is missing next season after the Rockets are eliminated in the playoffs

The Rockets lost to the Warriors in Game 7, and Ime Udoka joked about what Houston needs to get through. The Houston Rockets seemed ready to go in the first round of the playoff series against the Golden State Warriors, but they ultimately failed to do so. In the seventh game at home, the Rockets' offense fell into a trough, and the Warriors finally won easily 103-89 and advanced to the second round.

Despite the disappointing exit of the Rockets, their performance was still beyond expectations. As one of the youngest teams in the league, the Houston Rockets rushed to second place in the highly competitive Western Conference and strong lineup depth, and forced Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and others to the brink of elimination.

Now, the Rockets have to figure out how to become a true champion next. After the season, head coach Ime Udoka joked about which players the Rockets need to go to another level next season. According to Danielle Lerner of the Houston Chronicle, Udoka smiled and said, "I think 90% of free throw shooting percentage and 50% of three-point shooting percentage, that's what we're missing," Lerner said.

Udoka and his players lost to one of the players while Curry advanced to the next round.

Of course, the former Boston Celtics bench coach is just kidding, but his words are not without reason. The Houston team has made defense a top priority throughout the season, which is fully reflected in the playoffs, with the Warriors struggling to score and create shots.

However, the Rockets performed equally poorly on the defensive end in the game of losing. Apart from the second game, Jaylen Green's scoring efficiency and stability were not high enough, and Houston did not have enough shooters and shooting creators on the outside to continue threatening the Golden State Warriors' defense.

This offseason, the Rockets will likely focus on bringing in a scorer, or even a star player, to help them create shots for half-court offense. Houston has a large number of young players that can pack trades, so be sure to pay attention to the trading market if there are star players coming up in the coming months.
