Turn to the rich team! The first 76ers inside star will not return to his old club or return to the NBA?

According to European sports media Mozzart Sport, Serbian inside player Filip Petrusev has reached an agreement with Adriatic League team Dubai. He received a three-year contract and personally paid 500,000 euros to his old club Olympiacos, which will be completed in installments within the next two years.

Petrusev was born in April 2000. He is 25 years old, 211cm tall and weighs 102kg. He is an inside player from Serbia selected by the Philadelphia 76ers in the 50th pick in the second round in the 2021 NBA Draft. In the NBA regular season, Petrusev played three times for the 76ers and the Sacramento Kings, with only 3.1 minutes per game, averaging 1 point, 0.3 rebounds, and 0.3 fouls, shooting percentage of 50% and free throw percentage of 50%. Petrusev didn't get any chance to play in the NBA. He just joined the 76ers, but at the beginning of the season he was sent to the Los Angeles Clippers in a deal involving James Harden, and then sent to the Kings by the Clippers and was cut shortly after joining the Kings. I believe Petrusev will also be frustrated by his experience in the NBA. He is like a tool man. In less than a month, he actually changed three bosses, which is a bit speechless.

Petruschev first played for Olympiacos last season, but due to insufficient playing time, he was loaned to his old club Belgrade Red Star. In the European court last season, Petrusev made a total of 66 appearances, averaging 21.2 minutes per game, averaging 13.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.6 blocks. He also had 1.3 turnovers and 2.3 fouls, shooting percentage of 56.2%, three-point shooting percentage of 30%, and free throw shooting percentage of 73.1%. After joining the Red Star of Belgrade, his performance is impressive. His offensive efficiency is quite good, and his scoring ability can be demonstrated. He has performed very well in the Adriatic League and the Champions League. He has also proved that he is a player with outstanding comprehensive abilities and has also made great progress in his ability.

It was previously reported that Petrusev's old club, Red Star, was very interested in him and hoped that he could return to the team and was willing to pay him a compensation of 1 million euros. In addition, there are also some attention and interests from NBA teams, and some people think that he may return to the NBA arena, but in the end, Petrusev still unexpectedly chose to join Dubai, which is full of ambitions and hopes to make a breakthrough in the Adriatic League. I don’t know if we still have a chance to see Petrusev again in the NBA arena in the future.
