Recap Redick s last moment tactics: Inexperienced, not many highlights
Lakes rookie coach Redick's last-minute tactics (EOG) have not been very good last season, not as good as Vogel and Hamm, which is probably one of Redick's weaknesses in the regular season. (I won't discuss the playoffs, as if I talk too much, I will be tears.) Last minute tactics (EOG) are one of the special tactics of basketball; the NBA is a professional league that focuses on tactical details, and has very rigorous tactical arrangements for the execution of EOG games. Generally speaking, when there are 8 seconds or more left in the game, the team has a richer tactical choices. If serving on the frontcourt sideline, the coach will usually arrange a complete tactical cooperation. If you serve in the backcourt, multiple players will be arranged to quickly open up the space, and the ball holder will quickly advance and break through to pass the ball to ensure that you can complete one pass, or at the end of the game, you have time to make two passes before you have to take a shot. If the ball must be pushed from the backcourt to the frontcourt within 8 seconds, the team must significantly increase the speed of the push to ensure that the effective attack is completed before time runs out. When there are only about 4 seconds left in the game, you can usually only complete one pass. The ball holder can use 1-2 dribbling to create a shooting opportunity, but there is basically no time to make a second pass. In the extreme situation with about 2 seconds left in the game, the team must adopt the "Catch and shoot" tactic. The receiver needs to use the cover of his teammates to get rid of defense and get the best shooting angle in a very short time. If there is only 1 second or less left, you can only choose to pick up the high-rise and get a tip-in, with almost no room for adjustment. For coaches, the use of timeouts or challenges is very important. The coach may choose to "not pause" and the players on the field will solve it themselves (Ham's criticism is not pause). In this way, success or otherwise will be determined entirely by the player's level. Of course, this is also a high-risk operation. If the coach wins without pausing, then the reputation is naturally "decisive"; and if he loses because of "not pausing", he will inevitably be questioned for being "incapable". The coach chooses "suspended" and arranges the first attack after the timeout (ATO). At this time, the coach's level is very important. For the coaching team, the tactical arrangement at critical moments must follow several basic principles: ·1. Choose the tactics with the highest success rate to avoid overly complex running positions; 2. Clarify the division of responsibilities of each player, including the serve, coverr and endpoint; 3. At the same time, keep calm to help players relieve stress and ensure that the tactics can be implemented clearly and smoothly. So what is Redick’s EOG tactics level in the 25th season? The author believes that there are not many Redick EOG that can be praised. In the game against the Suns, the tactical ATO design was the best reputation, but unfortunately, he failed to make a shot in the end. Lakers played against the Suns, and in the last 40 seconds, they were 3 points behind 104:107. Redick set an ATO, James was on the back, Russell passed the ball, Reeves first covered the Hachimura, and then covered the Brows. Through a sts (covered by the screener), Reeves ran out of the space and shot three-pointers, but unfortunately missed. But this ATO is of extremely high quality! With rich tactics, opportunities have basically come out. This is the EOG at the beginning of the season. Redick was very bold at that time, probably because he was full of confidence when he first took over the team. However, since then, he seemed to be becoming more and more conservative, his courage became smaller and smaller, and his courage became worse and worse, and he was in a mess in the playoffs. The rookie coach is similar to the rookie player. He can start to let go, but then he gradually becomes timid and doubts himself, which is equivalent to hitting a rookie wall. There are still some EOGs that are still going to do: against the Bulls, the Lakers are 1 point behind with 6.1 seconds left. Redick drew a star explosion tactic, everyone ran in different directions, Reeves received the ball and broke through, and he absolutely killed the Bulls. Everyone knows that Gideon defeated the sky and killed the Lakers with three-pointers. But this ATO is of excellent quality, and it gives Reeves an easy layup opportunity through star explosion and confusion. In this game of against the Hornets, with 14 seconds left, Doncic sent it to the inside James, and the opponent quickly attacked the inside. James and Hachimura made a "get" cooperation and got the ball at the three-point line. This is also a very good ATO, of course it reflects the wisdom of Doncic and James. However, Redick has not received many positive EOGs, and is generally very average. He often does not run out of open positions (or attacks when he is uncomfortable), and relies entirely on his personal ability to play singles or make strong three-pointers. The last 2.5 seconds left against the Magic, the Lakers were 3 points behind, Reeves served the sideline ball, and Thick Eyebrow made a chin cut to catch the ball and barely made a mid-range shot, but unfortunately missed. After the game, Davis said it was a tactical mistake, because the ball was taken by James, but James was stuck by Bitaze, so it could only be ended by Davis. And the end of a strong shot like Thick Eyebrow is not particularly reliable, so it is a waste of time. In this game of against the Pistons, the Lakers fell behind by 3.7 seconds. Redick set up an ATO, and Davis gave James a continuous "Gortate screen" and James received the ball and shot three-pointers. The receiving position is two steps outside the three-point line, and the shooting point is too far. This tactic is really bad! Reeves defeated the Warriors in 6.3 seconds, and there was no arrangement. It was just that Reeves had strong personal abilities, or he forced a score against Wiggins' defensive singles. Redick's EOG has another feature: it is highly similar and has few changes.. The Lakers lost to the Nets. In the last 6.3 seconds, Doncic sent a sideline ball and passed it to James who came out of the pocket. James instantly got far from the three-point line. He could only get three-pointers in the dry land and finally failed to make a shot. The Lakers lost to the Nuggets. At 5.6 seconds, Milton sent a sideline ball to Reeves, but was intercepted by Westbrook, who scored and defeated the Lakers. The arrangement of against the Rockets is even more awkward! The two servings at the last moment were exactly the same. The Lakers trailed the Rockets 115:118 with 7.1 seconds left in the game. The first time ATO, Christie served and wanted to pass it to James from the far end of the three-point line to receive the ball, but directly sent it to VanVleet. The Lakers were forced to use foul tactics. The Lakers trailed the Rockets for the second ATO with 4.7 seconds left, DFS sent it to James, who also received the ball from outside the three-point line, but Davis screened a foul. This is the characteristic of Redick EOG tactics. There are too few highlights and insufficient experience. Objectively speaking, Redick EOG's arrangement is really not as good as Hamm. Like Ryan's ATO, which is worthy of being a big book. When the Lakers play against the Pelicans, there are 1.3 seconds left in the game. Reeves served the sideline ball, Beverly ran to the left bottom line, James pretended to catch the ball to restrain his opponent, Davis took the opportunity to provide a flare cover for Ryan, helping Ryan run to the bottom line, Reeves passed the ball across the ball, magically equalizing the score. In short, "the sideline ball is a world problem", and Redick's last-minute tactics have no highlights. Although his tactics are OK, this special tactic seems to be his shortcomings. Of course, McMillan and Brooks did not provide sufficient help either.
