Looney confirms Pelicans number: Wearing a No. 55 jersey in the new season

According to jersey reporter Etienne Catalan, Pelicans new player Looney will wear the No. 55 jersey to represent the team in the new season.

One player in the history of the Pelicans who has this number is Trey Jamison. Looney wore a No. 5 jersey while playing for the Warriors.

According to previous reports, Looney and the Pelicans signed a two-year $16 million contract, of which the second year is the team option.

After playing for the Warriors for 10 seasons and winning three championships, Looney left the team as a free agent. During his time with the Warriors, Looney played 599 regular season games, averaging 17.2 minutes per game, and averaged 5 points, 5.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.5 steals and 0.5 blocks per game.

Loney played 76 games for the Warriors last season, averaging 15 minutes per game, contributing 4.5 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 0.6 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game, shooting percentage of 51.4%, shooting percentage of 3-pointers and shooting percentage of 56.6%.
