Chris Duhon, one of the strongest defensive point guards in the East
Does anyone still remember Chris Duhon? Once one of the strongest defensive point guards in the East. Chris Duhon, Chris Duhon, 6-foot-1 (185 cm) tall, plays as a point guard (PG), was born in August 1982 in the characteristic town of Mamu, Louisiana, USA, produced by Duke University, and ranked 9th in the second round of the 2004 NBA Draft (38th overall, because the Minnesota Timberwolves and Joe Smith reached a private agreement to evade the salary cap and were deprived of the 2004 first-round pick by the league) was selected by the Chicago Bulls to enter the NBA. As a traditional point guard, Chris Duhong's organizational passes are relatively stable and has strong assisting ability. He can faithfully execute tactical intentions, make few mistakes, and has a certain external deterrence. Especially, he has strong defense ability and skilled pace. With his quick-witted eyes and diligent attitude, he was once known as one of the strongest point guards in the East. However, Du Hong's athletic ability is average, his speed and bounce are not excellent, and his breakthrough ability is poor. It is difficult to tear open the opponent's defense line through personal breakthroughs. It is difficult to enter the penalty area. His shooting rate at the basket is not high, and he lacks efficient ending methods. His offensive methods are relatively single. After nine seasons in the NBA, Du Hong played for four teams, including the Bulls (2004-2008), the Knicks (2008-2010), Magic (2010-2012), and Lakers (2012-2013). He played in a total of 606 games in the regular season, including 319 starts, averaging 25.6 minutes per game, scoring 6.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.1 blocks. In the playoffs, they played 29 games, including 5 starts, averaging 20.4 minutes per game, scoring 4.1 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 0.5 steals, and 0.1 blocks. Although Du Hong is good at defense, he has also produced some highlights with good data. Local time in the United States, on April 24, 2005, in the first round of the NBA playoffs, in the game where the Chicago Bulls defeated the Washington Wizards 103:94 at home, Chris Duhong started for 34 minutes, scored 7 points, 6 assists and 2 steals, and captured the highest single game in the NBA career playoffs, and it was also the highest single game in the NBA career. On November 2, 2005, in the Chicago Bulls' overtime victory over the Charlotte Bobcats (now known as the Charlotte Hornets) at 109:105 overtime at home, Chris Duhon started for 39 minutes, contributing 18 points, 10 rebounds, 12 assists and 2 steals, which was Duhon's only triple-double in his NBA career, with 10 rebounds tying his NBA career single-game record. Local time on February 7, 2008, in the Chicago Bulls' 114:108 away game, Chris Duhon started for 41 minutes, making 11 of 16 shots (including 4 of 6 three-pointers), and 8 of 9 free throws, scoring the highest single-game 34 points in NBA career, plus 2 rebounds, 9 assists and 3 steals. On November 29, 2008, in the New York Knicks' home victory over the Golden State Warriors 139:125, Chris Duhon started for 45 minutes, scored 12 points, 4 rebounds and 1 steal, and sent out the highest 22 assists in a single game in NBA career. Chris Duhon was cut by the Lakers in the offseason in 2013. He gradually faded out of the NBA. In April 2014, he joined the NCAA Marshall University basketball team as an assistant coach and officially announced his retirement in 2015. In 2021, he joined the Bryant University men's basketball coaching staff as the head of scouts and video analysis, responsible for analyzing team training and game videos to help players improve their personal skills. He has since returned to the Marshall University team as an assistant coach and is still working in this position.
