2025 UIPM Obstacle Running Children’s World Championships concluded successfully

The 2025 UIPM Obstacle Running Children's World Championships and Spartan Warrior Children's Games Olympic Sports Center Station was held on the 26th at the Beijing National Olympic Sports Center. More than 2,000 little warriors competed fiercely in the international arena to complete their challenges.

After fierce competition, the champions of each group in the elite group were born one after another. The boys and girls champions in the 13-14 year old group were won by Lu Tianjie and Jiang Xiyang, and the boys champion in the 11-12 year old group was won by Wang Zizheng. The female champions in the 11-12 year old group were won by Peng Shiqi and Xing Zimo, the boys and girls champions in the 9-10 year old group were won by Fu Runqiao and Luo Yifei respectively, and the boys and girls champions in the 7-8 year old group were won by Wang Yinzhen and Hu Mengqi.

This event is hosted by the International Modern Pentathlon Union (UIPM) and the Chinese Modern Pentathlon Association. It is hosted by the Cycling Fencing Sports Management Center of the State Sports General Administration, the National Olympic Sports Center, and the Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau. Shengli Shijia (Beijing) Sports Culture Development Co., Ltd. is responsible for event operation.

"The system of bringing children's competition into the UIPM Obstacle Running World Championships will not only allow young warriors to see the competitive level of the world's top obstacle running athletes, but also allow international obstacle running athletes to see that there is such a good foundation for youth obstacle running in China. I believe that obstacle running will have better development in China." Yu Lei, CEO of Shengli Family, said.

"Obstacle running has been developing in China for ten years with the Spartan Warriors. From children's races aged 4-14 to adult obstacle races and DEKA 10 indoor physical competitions, we have accumulated nearly a million warrior communities. In the future, our athletes can improve the competitive level of short-distance tracks through more targeted training, thus storing reserve power for the development of obstacle running in China," Yu Lei said.

It is reported that in the Obstacle Race World Championships held from October 23 to 26, athletes from the Spartan Warriors accounted for "half of the contestants". In the highly competitive and ornamental 100-meter race, the Spartan Warriors 100-meter sprint champions Luke Beckstrand and Kai Beckstrand brothers won the championship and runner-up in the men's 100-meter race at the World Championships.

This track was jointly designed by the International Modern Pentathlon Federation and the Spartan Warrior Children's Race. The start and end points are set inside the main stadium of the National Olympic Sports Center, and the rest of the track surrounds the overall layout of the Olympic Sports Center. In order to further demonstrate the charm of obstacle running, this event has added five new obstacles: "Trojan Horse Interception", "Cliff Abyss", "Penguin Walk", "Devil's Beard" and "Wall of the Brave", all of which are "fast passing" challenges that emphasize agility and coordination.
