Entering the music industry! Ramos: I can win the Grammy Award in the future, which is more realistic than being a coach to win the Champions League
September 2: Sergio Ramos has caused another sensation outside the court. His new single "Cibeles" was released just one day, which surprised the football and entertainment industry. The Monterrey centre-back talked about his future plans in an interview with the Spanish program, saying he would play professional football for at least another year and made it clear that he would focus on his music career in the future. Ramos, 39, emphasized that his identity as a singer is not a hobby, but a new stage in which he hopes to develop in parallel with his football career. Monterrey is working to renew the contract with the centre-back during international match day in September. Ramos joined Monterrey in 2024 and quickly became a star player on the team and an important figure in the Mexican League. "I hope to play for another one to two years and use this time to grow my music career," Ramos said, adding that it was more than just a pastime. "It's not a hobby or a whim, it's a dream I've always had inside, and I want to take it as a career." Ramos even compared his dream as a coach to a musician, who thought he was more likely to win awards in the music field. "I can see that I can win the Champions League as a coach in the future, but I feel that I can win the Grammy Award in the next few years, which is closer to reality than being a coach to win the Champions League." The new song "Cibeles" is part of Ramos's music career, and he recalls his experience of leaving Real Madrid in 2021 through the song. The song was written by Mexican composer Carlin Leon and posted a video on YouTube and Instagram where Ramos appears next to the iconic Madrid fountain. In Monterrey, Ramos found stability in his career in sports, and the club hoped to extend his contract. Meanwhile, the World Cup champion defender made it clear that his future will be between continuing to play football and entering the music industry.
