The total number of appearances played by father and son for different national teams: Buffon and his son are expected to surpass Lukaku and his son

The father and son duo of Roger Lukaku (11 games) and Romero Lukaku (124 games) together ranked first with 135 games played for their respective national teams. Ranking second is the 127 games played by Sane and his son. It is worth mentioning that only Luis, the son of legendary Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, can surpass Lukaku and his son to top the list if he plays one game for the Czech Republic.
