Messi's salary is still the highest in the team. In the entire MLS, only Son Heung-min's basic annual salary of US$13 million is higher than Messi. The bonuses, shares and other additional income in Messi's new contract are still unknown. The total value of his previous contract reached a maximum of more than 50 million US dollars a year.
