Ribery: I hope Bayern can go all the way

Bayern Munich legend Frank Ribery shared his views on the FIFA Club World Cup and admitted that he has a special liking for Boca youth.

Frank Ribery is one of many football enthusiasts eager to start the countdown to the 2025™ FIFA Club World Cup. As one of France’s best football geniuses, the striker who has played 81 times for the French national team, he will be happy to wait for the end and a new 32-team FIFA club event is coming. In fact, the global feast will kick off on Saturday with a heavy match between Al Ahly FC and Inter Miami CF. By then, the dynamic group stage will be held intensively and quickly, which means the former winger will not have to wait long to see his beloved Bayern Munich match. The Bundesliga heavyweight team will play against Oakland City Football Club at the TQL Stadium in Cincinnati. Drawing a seemingly powerful Group C, the Bavarians will fight wits and courage with Argentina’s Boca Youth Athletic Football Club and then against Portuguese strongman Benfica.

"I think it's a tough group," Ribery told FIFA. "Bayern may be a favorite to win the championship, but it's a bit like the Champions League, there's no easy game." If you don't concentrate and think it's going to be a walk in the park, you're just asking for trouble.

Not surprisingly, Ribery will be one of Bayern's main cheerleaders in the upcoming exhibition tournament. Although his brilliant career included glorious periods in places like Metz, Florence and the Marseille Olympics, the most brilliant chapter of the former French international’s journey was undoubtedly written in this German club.

He played for the Bavarian team for 12 years, performed well, made over 400 appearances, and paid every point in the pursuit of the trophy. The tiny ace won everything, with his trophys including nine Bundesliga titles, six German Cups and the 2013 European Champions League title.

Ribery's cake was icing on the cake, he won the game now known as the FIFA Intercontinental Cup™, an unforgettable season on Moroccan land. “I will never forget 2013. It was the best year of my life,” the former Bayern backbone stalwart confided. "We had a great time in Marrakech. We won the trophy (a 2-0 victory over Morocco's Rajacasablanca in the final), and I was named the Best Player of the Championship. It means a lot to me.

About 12 years, a completely different prospect awaits the groundbreaking FIFA Club World Cup™ form of a serial trophy trapper, Ribery would have been happy to have the opportunity to add luster to his player days. "There will be a lot of top teams and big names, and I think it's a good thing for American fans to see the game play in their own backyard," he explained. "If Bayern is at its peak, the players have the ability to win the game. Obviously there are other competitors, but I obviously hope Bayern can go all the way and bring the championship home.

Although he is reluctant to offer any other predictions, Ribery does admit that besides the club he once served so loyally, he will keep an eye on the progress of the two Argentine representatives: the CA Riverbed, especially the Boca Youth, who - if lucky - will face Bayern in their second game.

"I am a loyal fan of Boca Youth and I really love them," the former Marseille idol revealed. "I hope to visit Argentina one day because the atmosphere is amazing. I believe they (Boca) really have a chance to win the Club World Cup. Their method, mindset and mentality are top-notch. It will be a serious test for Boca youth, but it will be for Bayern and any other team. It's hard to predict the winner, and even how far the team will go. I will try to follow the action, but keep my emotions under control.

Ribery is undoubtedly the right person to comment on the emotional moments in the FIFA Championship, 3-1 in the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany™ 16 World Cup 2006 The first record for France in the victory over Spain is unforgettable.

Speaking of touching occasions, the French team's great man will also be particularly interested in watching his friend Thomas Muller's Bayern masterpiece. "He is a club legend. We are teammates for many years, he is a top player and a great person, and I respect him very much. I hope the players can give themselves a good explanation, not only for Thomas, but also for themselves and for the club.
