Muller: If Flick called me before leaving Bayern, I might choose to join Barcelona

On October 19, Muller revealed on the German broadcaster BR's program "BlickpunktSport" that he was considering going to Barcelona to join Flick.

Mueller said: "I wanted to leave Europe at the time. Maybe there were one or two different options. Let's put it this way. Flick knows me very well. If Flick calls me and invites me, and if I really like the role he has arranged for me at Barcelona, then I might say, I can think about it."

Muller also revealed that he had considered joining Sydney. He said: "I told people around me that a ten-hour direct flight is acceptable, but if I have to fly for 24 hours and make three transfers... So the topic was quickly ended, and everyone agreed."
