The fan, named Louis Rimmer, was seriously injured after being hit by a car and is still fighting for his death. After the incident, Mount sent a video condolences to Rimmer's wife Sarah and two daughters Amelia and Maddison.

Rimmer's close friend Andy Tonchi told the Manchester Evening News that Lewis is still in a "critical condition". He described Mount's video as "very heartwarming" to the family.
