Marca: Barcelona successfully bargained Rashford buyout fee to 35 million euros, Manchester United originally wanted 50 million euros
July 19th, Romano "HWG" announced that Rashford will join Barcelona on loan (with buyout terms). Spanish newspaper Marca wrote an article reporting on the details of the transfer. Barcelona's negotiations with players have been very in-depth because players have long agreed to significantly reduce their salary to join Barcelona. Barcelona is unwilling to pay such a high salary for players in joint efforts with Manchester City, and the players' salary cuts have opened the first door to the deal. The second door was opened by Manchester United, and they accepted the loan proposal. Initially, Manchester United wanted to reach a permanent transfer, but Barcelona insisted on loan and came with a buyout option of 35 million euros. Manchester United originally proposed a buyout fee of €50 million, but in the end Barcelona successfully lowered the price to €35 million.
