Wilz responds to rumors of No. 10 jersey and wins the best Bundesliga season

Recommended on June 4: Wiltz responded to rumors that he wanted to be Liverpool No. 10 player via Instagram story late Tuesday. Less than 24 hours ago, Florian Pretenberg of Germany Sky Sports tweeted: "Wilz wants to wear a No. 10 jersey in Liverpool. He also wears No. 10 in Leverkusen, and No. 17 for the German team."

In response, Wilz responded: "Who said I want No. 10? I respect every player. Don't believe in those unconfirmed rumors."

In the annual selection organized by the magazine "Kicker", 218 Bundesliga players voted anonymously to select the best player in their respective minds. Werz, who plays for Leverkusen, won the Bundesliga Player of the Year with a 28.2% vote.

Last season, Wilz scored 10 goals and contributed 13 assists under Leverkusen coach Xavi Alonso, but the team failed to defend the league championship.
