Saudi media: Edwards, CEO of Fenway Football Division, was poached and will serve as director of the new moon
June 14, Saudi media arriyadiyah reported that Edwards, CEO of the Football Division of Fenway Group, was poached and he is about to go to Riyadh Crescent to serve as football director. Michael Edwards returned to Fenway Group in 2024. Before this Liverpool career, Edwards served as Liverpool's sports director, leading the team to several important championships, including a Champions League and the end of the 30-year-old top league championship. Edwards has served at Liverpool for more than 10 years. During his tenure as Football Director, he is believed to have built an industry-leading football operations team that combines a data-oriented approach with scouts and intelligence, revolutionizing the organization’s recruitment, player transfers, lineup planning and decisions for key leaders in football.
