Rice talks about no championship this season: Liverpool is worthy of the championship. I believe that he can win the championship at Arsenal

May 11th Arsenal midfielder Rice was interviewed by Sky Sports and talked about his feelings about his failure to win the championship this season and his views on the future.

You are so close to the championship, obviously you are very eager to win the championship. How do you personally deal with this situation that is very close to winning the championship but missed it?

"Yes, it's painful, and it feels frankly bad. I really care, it's a sport I love and a sport I want to succeed. It would be great if I can win the championship with Arsenal. I still have four or five years of contract to achieve this, so although it hasn't happened yet, I really believe that during my time here, we'll do it."

"But honestly, it's really hard to accept that. Don't get me wrong, it's hard to lose in any sport, and if you have that winning mentality, it's hard to accept failure. But you also have to admit that when other teams perform better than you and deserve to win, you have to give them recognition. Liverpool did this season, so I'm not the kind of person who makes excuses, paying tribute to them, they're totally worthy of the championship."
