Marcelo social media pays tribute to Modric: You are always a legend, thank you for teaching me a lot

May 23rd Real Madrid officially announced that they would leave the team after the end of the Club World Cup. Marcelo posted a message to pay tribute to his former teammates.

Today is a heartbreaking day. My brother, comrades who have experienced countless battles together, will say goodbye to our common home - the club we have played together for more than a decade.

Luca, we share not only games, we also share dreams, victory, failure, laughter and silence. You are far more than a teammate, you have been and will always be a legend.

Your talent, your humility, your attitude towards football and life... are all pure inspiration for us Spring. It is hard to imagine that there is no you in the locker room, no your incredible passes on the court, no your silent but huge contributions. Thank you for every moment, every conversation, every tacit look, thank you for teaching me so much on and off the court.

For 13 years, you have made history in the best club in the world, but not only Real Madrid fans love you, the whole world is cheering for you.
