German media: Bayern s championship celebration sparks political debate in Munich, left wing asks Bayern to celebrate at its own expense

May 12 Biography quoted the Munich Daily reported that Bayern's championship celebration has now sparked political debate in Munich.

According to tradition, Bayern men's and women's football team will hold a grand celebration at 12:30 noon on May 18 on May 18 on the balcony of the town hall in Marion Square. The mayor of Munich, member of the Social Democratic Party, and a hardcore Bayern fan Dieter Reiter has invited the city hall banquet hall, but the celebration has now triggered political debate.

According to the Munich Daily, the Left Party requires Bayern to bear the championship celebration expenses on its own, and the city government has previously paid for such activities. The party's councilman Thomas Leschner said: "The City Hall championship celebration is a privilege given to Bayern, but paying for it with taxes must be terminated. Bayern's vault is full, but the municipal finance is stretched."

Report shows that such celebrations cost more than 400,000 euros in 2019, and this year's celebration budget is still about 500,000 euros, mainly used for security personnel, isolation facilities and broadcasting technology. These expenses ultimately benefit fans, that is, most taxpayers.

Left Party MP Brigitt Wolf emphasized: "We can't afford this kind of image project at all! If we don't want to destroy the city's social cohesion, we must adjust the priority of expenditure."

CSU Chairman Manuel Prezel refuted: "Bayern is the city's brightest business card, bringing tourists, business taxes and global popularity. Inviting guests to celebrate but letting the other party pay? This is a narrow jealousy."

Bavarian governor and CSU's Marcus Sodel said bluntly on Sunday: "This is very left-wing - it is always disappointing. I can't imagine that the left-wing party will be a Bayern fan, and the two are not at all. Bayern represents success, wealth, style and background, which are not the strengths of the left-wing party."
