Club World Cup Diary: Stay motivated and focused, see you at Charlotte!

June 27th News Ravia posted a Club World Cup diary on Chelsea’s official website. In his diary, Lavia talked about the team's active preparation, the close relationship between the players and his support for coach Maresca.

In Chelsea's three Club World Cup group stages, Lavia played in each of them, helping the team successfully advance to the knockout stage with the second place in the group.

On June 29, Chelsea will face Benfica from the Portuguese Super League in the quarterfinals.

The following is the original text of the diary:

We do not need to enter the knockout stage to know what achievements we will achieve in the Club World Cup. From day one we felt we had a chance and were always confident in ourselves.

qualifying in the group is not easy. I know you've heard of weather issues, and that's a challenge for everyone. We also fought with some excellent teams. So we must stay focused and put in the best efforts. This is why we successfully advanced.

Every experience inside and outside the stadium helps us grow as a team. Most of the players are about the same age, so we explore new things together and overcome difficult moments together. This is making us stronger.

I spend more time with the French-speaking players on the team because that is my first language, but I feel very close to everyone. This is a great group of guys, and everyone gets along well on and off the court. I think knowing each other well helps us perform better in the game.

But don't get me wrong: we all want to play football. Competitive awareness is natural, especially at clubs like Chelsea, where you have to be ready to go all out every day.

This means that everyone will put in 110% of their efforts, which will only push the team forward. I know I have more potential to play and hopefully show it over the next few weeks and months.

I feel good at the moment and have playing time in every game of the Club World Cup. I just need to keep working hard because - I said in an interview recently - the greatest honor of a football player is to be able to play football.

If you can work hard, whether you play or not depends on the coach's decision. Obviously, I have known the coach for longer than most people on the team and I really enjoy working with him. The coach has very clear football philosophy and ideas, which match my performance on the court. I enjoy playing under his command, he knows the players very well, which helps us a lot.

We arrived in Miami yesterday and we would stay here for a few days before the game against Benfica. It's a great city, but we came here to work.

Luckily, the weather here is a little cooler than Philadelphia!

We know that as the Club World Cup advances, the game will only become more and more difficult. Excellent teams from all over the world gather here, and everyone has the same ambitions. Our goals are no exception.

So we will remain focused and motivated to make sure we are ready for the challenges ahead.

See you in Charlotte!
