Annual revenue exceeds 1 billion! TA: Real Madrid plans to build the Bernabeu into a "money printing machine" that will last forever throughout the year
October 4th, TA reported that Real Madrid is transforming its 1.8 billion euro renovation home court from a pure football venue to a "money printing machine" that can be spent 365 days a year through an ambitious business plan. Club has simplified the commercial brand of the stadium to the "Bernabeu" and established an independent company to operate it, aiming to push annual revenue, which has now exceeded 1 billion euros, to a new high. The core of this grand blueprint is to build the Bernabeu into a diversified entertainment center. In addition to football games, the new venue has successfully held concerts with superstars such as Taylor Swift with its retractable lawn and ceiling, and will usher in the NFL regular season in November. The club has reached a 20-year cooperation agreement with US investor SixthStreet to form a joint venture to manage all on-site revenue except season tickets. Meanwhile, the professional company Legends operates on-site retail and catering, including a sushi bar, a beer factory, and even a luxurious Starbucks overlooking the stadium, where Real Madrid can earn a share of every cup of coffee sold. These non-match day events (such as corporate rentals) can bring up to €500,000 in net income for the club in a day, driving the club to record an all-time high of €1.185 billion in the 2024-25 season.
